We started to get the dreaded HPF error on our rear air conditioning unit. Typically this is from a low water flow but we had already cleaned and verified that the strainers were clean. It was time to see what kind of funk lived in these lines 🙂
This is a how to video to show how to flush the water circulation lines on your boat hardware with simple household and store bought products. We used Muriatic acid, but others swear by vinegar as well. Here is a tutorial on how we do this and it is pretty easy and takes about 15 minutes of work and about 30 minutes of letting the solution do it’s magic in the lines.
Join us on our journey as we continue to rebuild, refit and prepare our Formosa 51 Sailboat for our continued cruising journey. We have always loved the Formosa, bought one (on a bit of a whim) late in 2014, moved aboard this one right away and started to do our refit while living board. We are avid fans of Cruising Outpost and Good Ole Boat (Good Old Boat) magazines and love the ideas we get from them.
